Hi, there! I’m Amy, the accidental Room Mom.
It’s true, I didn’t even sign up to be Room Mom! The job simply fell in my lap, and to my surprise, I loved it.
I’m not exactly the Room Mom “type” to begin with. Sure, I love arts and crafts, but when it comes to public speaking, I am a total mess. Even if it’s just a room of seven-year-olds!
Even with this disadvantage, I have found that being a Room Parent has enriched my life and my connection to my daughter’s education.
It’s my goal to help other accidental or prospective Room Moms (or Dads) see how easy and fulfilling room-parenting can be!
I sincerely enjoy supporting (and spoiling) the brave teachers who devote themselves to cultivating young minds. It’s not a job I would be able to do, and I always want teachers to know that they are loved and appreciated.
