8 Fun Indoor Easter Games for Kids

Spring is finally here! Flowers are blooming, our trees are turning green again, and there’s loads of pollen in the air. *Ah-chew*

Apart from the sneezing, we are all gearing up for Spring Break and the Easter holidays. It’s also a great time for room moms to start thinking about planning the class Easter party, of course! Students from preschool on up have so much fun with games at class parties. Here’s a list of our favorite Easter games for school to try out this year.

Easter Bingo

Maybe I am partial because I have so many great memories of playing Bingo with my grandma, but I think we can all agree: Bingo is just plain fun! Nothing beats the excitement of yelling out “BINGO!” when you get 5 in a row.

This adorable printable Bingo set comes from Faith over at ForMommiesByMommy.com.

Modifications for room moms and teachers to use in the classroom: Plan on bringing something to use as number markers on the Bingo cards. Some room moms use jelly beans, but I would be more inclined to bring paper circles to use as markers.

Easter Game: What’s in the Bag?

This fun game comes from Katie at GiftofCuriosity.com. I love this game! I’m actually planning to try out this game with my nieces and nephews at our Easter gathering this year!

It would be perfect for the classroom because it gives everyone a chance to participate, plus a chance to watch others guess what’s in the bags.

Imagine the giggles and laughter as each of their classmates try to figure out what’s in the bag! Once each student has the chance to do it themselves, they realize it’s NOT as easy as it looked! 

Modifications for the classroom: I think this game is great as-is. You can modify the level of difficulty for older students by adding more items in the bags.

Egg Towers STEM Challenge

Although this is technically a STEM activity, I think it would be super fun to have an egg stacking competition at the Easter class party.

This idea comes from Kim at TheResourcefulMama.com. I love it because it’s interactive, fun for the kids, and you probably have a ton of plastic eggs in a bin already. I think I have at least 3,000 eggs. (Am I the only one who stocks up like a crazy person right after Easter?)

Modifications for the classroom: If you don’t have thousands of plastic eggs on hand — *ahem* — it’s best to break up the class into pairs or have the students compete individually in heats.

Easter Minute to Win It Games

Minute-to-Win-It games are perfect for the classroom because they are quick and exciting for kids of all ages.

Steph at aGrandeLife.com put together a list of really fun Easter Minute-to-Win-It games for kids. I am OBSESSED with the Bunny Tail Drop game. It’s such a simple concept, but it’s seriously so much fun. My daughter and I tested it out ourselves!

Modifications for the classroom: All of Steph’s games are classroom-friendly! YAY!

Easter Egg Bowling

Okay, okay — it’s not really bowling. It’s more like curling. I think? The object is to get your egg as close as possible to the white egg without touching it. This game comes from Melissa at KidFriendlyThingsToDo.com.

She confesses that her family became quite addicted to this egg-rolling game!

Modifications for the classroom: Melissa uses hard-boiled eggs for this game, which you could totally do. I would be more likely to substitute the hard-boiled eggs with wooden eggs since boiled eggs can crack and make a mess. You would just have to paint the eggs instead of dying them!

Pin the Tail on the Bunny

This free printable Pin the Tail on the Bunny game comes from yours truly! I created this game as a fun spin on the classic pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey game we all know and love.

My daughter is crazy good at pin-the-tail. She literally wins every single time!

Modifications for the classroom: None! I created this game with our Easter class party in mind, so it’s perfect for your school party. I do recommend printing the tails on heavy cardstock to make them reusable.

Walk the Egg Easter Game

This is not your average egg race! This egg-cellent game is all about teamwork and concentration — both great skills to instill in our kids. This idea comes from Melissa at KidFriendlyThingsToDo.com.

Modifications for the classroom: This game uses hard-boiled eggs, so you may want to consider using wooden eggs instead. Hardboiled eggs would be fine if you had an outdoor party and had access to grass.
