As a room mom, my absolute favorite part of this role is spoiling my daughter’s amazing teachers (AKA shopping for teacher gifts). I usually get to hunt for her Christmas gift, Teacher Appreciation gift, and if I’m lucky, her birthday gift.
I always send out a letter to parents to see who would like to contribute to the teacher’s gift. SO MANY parents would much rather contribute to a class gift instead of having to go out and purchase an individual gift. If you’d like a template for such a letter, you can find it in this post.
On the Room Mom Rescue Pinterest account, our most popular topic has got to be teacher gift ideas (apart from room mom templates, of course 😉). Within that group are a few particular custom gifts that continually get re-pinned over and over again.
Here, we’ve gathered up a list of the most popular teacher gifts from our Pinterest Board: Best Teacher Gifts & Ideas. If you’ve seen my previous post about Custom Teacher Stamps, you know I absolutely love shopping on Etsy. In an overly mass-manufactured world, Etsy allows creative small businesses to connect with customers who can’t get enough of that handmade touch. It’s no surprise that they ALL came from my favorite online marketplace, Etsy. 🙂
I’ve personally spoken with each store owner who made it on this list. Every single one of them was so sweet and responsive. I stand behind each and every one of them!
Whether you are looking for a birthday, Christmas or Teacher Appreciation week gift, we hope this list will help you find the perfect gift for your child’s teacher!
Most Repinned Teacher Gifts
In no particular order, here are the Top 10 Most Re-pinned Teacher Gifts on Pinterest in the last 365 days. Can you guess which one was the most popular? I’ll reveal the most repinned teacher gift at the end of the list! 🙂

Signs for the Classroom
One of my favorite gift ideas for teachers is custom signs.
Many teachers, especially new teachers, have lots of wall space to fill up in their classrooms. Signs and wall hangings can make their room feel like their own, instead of a boring or bland room.
This sign is made by Sheila at A Simple Impression on Etsy. This gift is perfect for the teacher who loves the farmhouse, fixer-upper style and who truly sees her students as future leaders!
This adorable, custom classroom sign is handmade by Audra at Ribbons and Routers on Etsy. I love how she combines rulers and chalkboard together to make these! She offers a choice of two fonts, one script font, and one minimalist handwritten font. Choose the font that matches your teacher’s personality best.
This next sign is perfect for the teacher that is absolutely crazy about Dr. Seuss. I know our school has at least two teachers who are crazy about Dr, Seuss! This wood sign is handmade by Robyn at Heartfelt Signs.
This next sign is not limited to teacher gifts. It would look great at home or in the office as well as the classroom. It reminds us to be kind to each other above all things! This custom sign is made by Amanda at Bella Grafia Designs.
This next sign would make a beautiful addition to any home or classroom. And the saying is SO TRUE. We all have memories of a truly inspiring teacher whose influence shaped our lives in some way. This hand-crafted wood sign is made by Michelle at NME Designs Co.
This next sign is one of my favorites. It’s a wooden sign painted to look like loose-leaf paper and would be perfect for hanging on a classroom door. This sign is made by Erin at Dogwood Market Design.
Most Popular Teacher T-Shirts
Another category that has gotten more popular this year is teacher tee shirts. More room moms are adding a line on their Teacher Questionnaires to ask for their t-shirt size! I love a good tee, and I know so many teachers do, too!
This first teacher shirt is made by Hannah at Midwest Mill. She’s put a teacher’s spin on the iconic LOVE design we all know… and well… love.
This next tee is probably my favorite. It gives the definition of a teacher as a “multi-tasking educational rockstar who lives to inspire and loves to encourage. They’re kind of a big deal.” We couldn’t agree more!! This custom teacher shirt is made by Julie at Joyful Moose.
Unique Teacher Gift Ideas
The last two teacher gifts on our list are more unique items you can give your teacher if signs and t-shirts just aren’t your thing.
This hand-stamped keyring is made by Susan at Silver Lining Stamping. This keyring says “Thank you for helping me grow,” which makes the perfect end-of-year teacher appreciation gift. You have the option to add a smaller matching aluminum circle with the teacher’s name, her initial, or the year to add a customized touch.
The final teacher gift on our list is a custom art piece made from hand-cut crayons in the shape of a teacher’s favorite snack, an apple! This amazing art is made by Melissa at Masha Dasha Designs.
Teacher Gift with the Most Saves is…
Can you guess which teacher gift got the most re-pins on Pinterest?
Drumroll, please…
It’s the ruler/chalkboard sign made by Audra at Ribbons and Routers! This is such an adorable and quintessential gift for a teacher, so I’m not surprised one bit!!
